Scilly Dark Skies Week

Experience: St Martin’s | Events

Scilly Dark Skies Week celebrates grassroots astronomy and the Isles of Scilly’s remarkably dark night skies, hosted by the community observatory on St Martin’s. The event features a mix of guided walks, talks, and hands-on workshops, with nightly stargazing sessions at the observatory.

Open to all levels of interest and experience, the week offers a chance to develop observation skills, learn celestial identification, and explore astrophotography under some of the UK’s darkest skies.

At its heart, Scilly Dark Skies Week is about being part of a growing community of astronomers and encouraging people to share experiences, and discover just how magical the night sky can be.
