Children and infants
Whether you’re pregnant, flying with young children or allowing an older child to travel independently, we’re here to help make the experience smooth and reassuring
Travel from week 28 up to and including week 36
We ask that you provide a doctor’s certificate confirming that you are fit to travel, the stage of pregnancy, and your due date.
From 37 weeks up to and including your estimated delivery date
You’ll need a doctor’s note, issued within the previous seven days of the travel date confirming fitness to travel.
Travel beyond your estimated delivery date
Beyond your delivery date you will only be allowed on flights between Land’s End and St Mary’s. You must be accompanied by an adult escort (partner, friend, family member, medical professional) and have a letter issued by the doctor or midwife within the previous 24 hours confirming fitness to travel, a copy of which will be required at check-in.
Children over the age of two will need their own seat. By law, infants younger than 24 months have to stay sitting safely on an adults lap for your whole journey.
You can’t bring them on-board to use during the flight, but if you need one for your holiday on the islands, we’re happy to take it in the hold as part of your luggage allowance. The Isles of Scilly have very few cars, most families find they have no need for a car seat while they’re on the islands.
Children’s tickets (2 – 11 years) – 15 kg hold luggage allowance.
Infant tickets (0 – 1 years) do not come with hold luggage included, but we are happy to carry a buggy or travel cot for them, free of charge.
