Baggage allowance changes

New fly forward programme

We understand that the standard baggage allowance doesn’t always cover every journey. From 4^th September 2025, we’re introducing an additional baggage programme for:

• Students travelling to and from full-time education
• Mariners with a UK Seaman’s Card (or national equivalent)
• Armed Forces, HM Coastguard and volunteers for RNLI

Eligible travellers will be able to take one extra bag (up to 15kg) free of charge, subject to space and weight availability. 

To offer extra certainty, passengers flying to Land’s End may also pre-deliver their additional bag to the Skybus team at St Mary’s by midday the day before their flight. We’ll fly it over in advance and hold it securely for collection on arrival. Please note this advance forwarding service is available only on the St Mary’s – Land’s End route.

We hope this initiative will be especially valuable for students travelling to and from mainland education, where we know costs can be a real challenge.
