Customer Notice: Schedule maintenance programme for Gry Maritha and Lyonesse Lady 2021

The Gry Maritha and the Lyonesse Lady will be coming out of service on 17th October for their routine maintenance program.  We wanted to give you as much notice as possible, so that you can prepare for the period that both vessels will be out. We are planning on both vessels returning to service on Monday 1st November. During this time the Scillonian III will be carrying all freight to and from the Islands and the Swift Lady will be providing the service to the Off-Islands. Please keep this in mind when placing orders during this period as we will have some restrictions on freight. The Swift Lady will only carry small items and minimum quantities during this time. Please note that bulk orders and large heavy items cannot be carried. No single item can be in excess of 25kg as the vessel is unloaded by hand. We would like to advise all customers to stock up on non-perishable items, including frozen food & hazardous items (DG’s), as we will be prioritising time critical/perishable freight during this time. Please could you make sure ALL freight is booked in with our freight office in Penzance at least 24 hours prior to delivery. We appreciate your patience during this time and should you have any questions, please contact us at Penzance Quay on 01736 334249 or St Mary’s Quay on 01720 424230.

Customer Notice – Lyonesse Lady will be out of service from Wednesday 18th August 2021

From Wednesday 18th August the Lyonesse Lady will be taken out of service for emergency works on the starboard tail shaft cutlass bearing.

The vessel will be dry docked this Wednesday 18th August with the essential works being a priority. We anticipate the vessel will be undocked on Saturday 21st August, returning to Scilly on Sunday and resuming service on Monday 23rd August.

During this time, the Swift Lady will undertake the freight operations with additional support from other local vessels. Due to this unexpected but vital work, there will be some delays and changes to the schedules.

The amended schedules are currently being drafted and once confirmed we will release. We are working extremely hard to ensure that service will return to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Gry Maritha Update- change to schedul for Friday 14th May

We regret to inform you that due to circumstances outside our control, the Gry Maritha will miss Friday’s sailing (14th May) and instead will return on Monday (16th May). This has been caused by the delay in sourcing engine parts which have had to be flown from America. The parts have now arrived into the UK and we are working with our contractors to resolve this issue as soon as possible. As a result of the delay, we will be running an additional Scillonian III sailing on Sunday 16th which will only carry freight. We are working extremely hard to ensure that service will return to normal on Monday. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your continued patience.

Customer Notification: Gry Maritha Update

The Gry Maritha is still undergoing her schedule annual maintenance program, and unfortunately there is going to be a further delay to seeing her return into service. This delay is due to a wait on receiving a vital engine part which we are yet to take delivery on in addition to the weather stalling the ships departure from the Dry Dock.

We are aiming to release the ship from the Dry Dock early next week and we estimate the Gry Maritha being back into service on the 14th May.
