Skybus

Travelling with pets

A visit to the Isles of Scilly is a special experience for every member of the family — and your dog is no exception. With mile after mile of picturesque coastline, Scilly is the perfect place for the walk of a lifetime.

IMPORTANT BOOK EARLY

Space for animals is limited, so please book early, to avoid disappointment.

AN ISLAND ADVENTURE FOR YOU AND YOUR DOG

Dogs are a big part of island life, so we want you to be able to enjoy as much of Scilly as possible with your dog by your side. There are lots of dog-friendly accommodation options, and plenty of places for you to explore together.

Most of St. Mary’s beaches are open to dogs year-round – including Town beach, an ideal place to watch the comings and goings of the quay.

Porthmellon, Porthcressa, and Old Town beach are closed to dogs from 1st May to 30th September, but with so many others to choose from, you’ll never be short of options.

On the off islands, you’re free to roam the beaches with your dog any time of the year — just remember to always keep them on a lead if you’re on Tresco.

YOUR PETS CAN TRAVEL IN STYLE

Dogs are very welcome to travel aboard our Skybus Twin Otter aircraft – all you need to do is ask us when you book.

You know your dog best, so it’s up to you to make sure they’re safe and happy while you travel. But here are a few things to keep in mind so you, your dog, and your fellow passengers have the best possible journey.

If you’re flying with Skybus, our staff are unable to handle your pets, so please make sure your dog is lifted in and out of the animal crate safely.
