The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group has launched discounted travel rates for student residents.
Students will be able to travel on board Scillonian III or Gry Maritha for just £15 each way, enabling them to make the most of opportunities on the mainland.
The new fares, open to students aged 16-22 who are Travel Club members, give a 43% saving and are available all year.
They offer a chance for young people to experience the best of both island and mainland life.
Sharon Sandercock, Marketing and Communications Manager for ISSG, said: “With a mission to ensure that travel links between the islands and the mainland are accessible and convenient, we are delighted to launch this new offer to help students who live on the islands to have access to opportunities in other parts of the UK more easily. With the reduced fare prices, we hope young people on Scilly can enjoy the benefits of the mainland.
“This new discount follows our spring and locals’ offers, as we continue to work towards making travel between the Isles of Scilly and the mainland even more affordable.”
