Ross Bridge Closure – Scillonian III passengers 21/08/19

On Wednesday 21st August (tomorrow) Ross Bridge in Penzance will be closed to both traffic and pedestrians from approximately 07:30 for up to one hour.  You will need to make a short diversion through Penzance centre, so we advise that passengers planning to arrive for Scillonian check-in at this time, add some additional time to their journey.

Skybus Weather Advisory, Friday 16th August

The weather forecast for Friday 16th August 2019 is indicating the likelihood of strong and gusty south westerly wind as well as the possibility of low cloud and reduced visibility at Newquay, St Mary’s and Land’s End Airports, which may cause disruption to Skybus flights. Although no flights have been cancelled at this time, any passengers booked to travel with Skybus on Friday may transfer to a flight on a different date free of charge where space allows. Passengers are advised to contact Skybus Operations on 01736 785233 to discuss their options. If you have any other queries please call the Travel Centre on 01736 334220.

The weather forecast for Wednesday 14th August 2019 is indicating the likelihood of low cloud and reduced visibility at Newquay, St Mary’s and Land’s End Airports, which may cause disruption to Skybus flights. Although no flights have been cancelled at this time, any passengers booked to travel with Skybus on Wednesday may transfer to a flight on a different date free of charge where space allows. Customer Notice – Gry Maritha Monday 12th August

Due to the weekends weather disturbance we will have to limit the freight loading time in Penzance on Monday 12th August. The Gry Maritha will arrive into Penzance on Monday at approximately 14:00hrs and aims to leave again at 16:30 due to tide. Please keep freight deliveries to essential items to allow our teams to turn the ship around in good time and to allow us to keep to the published schedule. Normal service will resume on Wednesday 14th August . Gry Maritha – Postponed Sailing, Friday 9th August 2019

Due to the updated weather forecast and deteriorating sea conditions, today’s Gry Maritha sailing has been postponed. The Gry will aim to depart Penzance on  Sunday 11th August and will arrive into Scilly late afternoon /early morning; with freight being discharged early Monday morning. Once all goods have been dispatched, the ship will aim to return to Penzance and will reload, with the hope of keeping to the published schedule for next week. Scillonian III: Change to scheduled sailing time, Friday 9th August 2019

Due to the updated weather forecast and deteriorating sea conditions, today’s Scillonian III sailing from St. Mary’s to Penzance will now depart St. Mary’s at an earlier time of 13:30. For passengers on this sailing check-in will open from 12:30. Whilst we cannot control the weather, we are sorry for any inconvenience. Scillonian III: Cancelled sailings, Saturday 10th August, 06:30am & 10.00am

Due to the forecasted weather for Saturday 10th August, the 06:30 sailing from Penzance and the 10:00 sailing from St. Mary’s have been cancelled. The 13:30 sailing from Penzance and the 17:00 sailing from St. Mary’s will go ahead as scheduled. Day Trip Passengers We would like to inform all passengers on a day trip ticket, that day trips on Saturday’s sailings have been cancelled. The weather is looking much better for Sunday 11th August or for those looking for a longer day on the islands, we have another double sailing on Saturday 17th August. Please note we will contact all affected day trip passengers to discuss alternative options at the earliest opportunity. Non Day Trip Passengers All non day trip passengers travelling on Saturday will be automatically transferred to the following sailings: 13:30 sailing from Penzance to St. Mary’s: Check-in: 11:30 to 13.00 Baggage drop off: 09:30 to 13.00 Freight items accepted from: 09:30 to 10:30 17:00hrs sailing from St. Mary’s to Penzance: Check-in: 15:45 to 16.30 If you would prefer to transfer to an alternative date please contact us. We are continuing to monitor the weather forecast but Friday 9th August sailing is planned to go ahead as per scheduled sailing. Customer Notice: Weather advisory for Scillonian III sailings on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th August 2019

Due to the forecasted weather for Friday 9th and Saturday 10th Scillonian sailing, we would like to advise that journeys may be uncomfortable. For passengers travelling on a day trip, we would like to inform you that the journey may take longer than normal, so you may wish to transfer to another day. The weather is looking much better for Sunday 11th August or for those looking for a longer day on the islands, we have another double sailing on Saturday 17th August. We are continuing to monitor the weather forecast for Friday 9th and Saturday 10th and it is possible that there may be some disruption to the schedule on these dates. Customer Freight Notice: Schedule maintenance program for Gry Maritha and Lyonesse Lady 2019

The Gry Maritha and the Lyonesse Lady will be coming out of service on Sunday 6th October for their routine maintenance program. We wanted to give you as much notice as possible, so that you can prepare for the 10 days that both vessels will be out of scheduled service. We do not anticipate any major problems as both vessels have recently undergone a substantial amount of work at the start of this season. During this time the Scillonian III will be carrying all freight to and from the Islands and the Swift Lady will be providing the service to the Off-Islands. Please keep this in mind when placing orders during this period and we will have some restrictions on freight. The Swift Lady will only carry small items and minimum quantities during this time. Please note that bulk orders and large items cannot be carried. Customer Notice – Double Sailing Reminder

Scillonian III double sailings will start on Saturday 27th July. Due to the sailing times we will not be able to accept freight on double sailing days. This also applies to sailings taking place on Saturday 3rd, 10th and 17th August. Revised sailing times – Scillonian III – Friday 28th June 2019

Due to forecast weather and sea conditions for Friday, the Scillonian will now depart at the following revised times: Departing Penzance at 14:00 from Albert Pier Check-in will be open from 12:45 to 13:30. Departing St. Mary’s at 17:30 Check-in will be open from 16:15 to 17:00. On arrival in Penzance the vessel will disembark on South Pier at approximately 20:15. Passengers may transfer to an alternative sailing free of charge where space allows or cancel their journey with a full refund provided. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. Customer Notice- changes to Gry Maritha’s schedule – Wednesday 26th & Thursday 27th June 2019

Due to forecasted weather and sea conditions, the Gry Maritha will be leaving Penzance Harbour at the earlier time of 1200 (midday) on Wednesday 26th June. We anticipate that she will leave the Isles of Scilly at the earlier time of 0730 on Thursday 27th June 2019. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. Scillonian III – Revised Sailing Times – Thursday 27th June 2019

Due to forecast weather and sea conditions for Thursday, the Scillonian will now depart at the following revised times: Departing Penzance at 06:15. Check-in will be open from 04:45 to 05:45. Departing St. Mary’s at 09:45. Check-in will be open from 08:15 to 09:15. Please note that on arrival in Penzance the vessel will disembark at either South Pier or Albert Pier dependent on swell conditions. Due to the amended schedule Island Carriers will start luggage collections from 08.00. Passengers may transfer to an alternative sailing free of charge where space allows or cancel their journey with a full refund provided. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. St. Mary’s Travel Centre: New Opening Times

From 18th March 2019 our St. Mary’s Travel Centre will close just before check-in opens for Scillonian III.  For 16:30 sailings the office will be open from 8am to 3pm. Opening times will vary on dates where we have special sailings, where the office will close 90 minutes before the Scillonian’s scheduled departure time.
