Gry Maritha and Lyonesse Lady will be coming out of service on Sunday 15th October 2023 for their routine maintenance program.
We wanted to give you as much notice as possible, to allow for pre ordering goods in preparation for this short period of reduced service.
We are planning on both vessels returning to service on Monday 30th October 2023.
We do not anticipate any major problems as both vessels have undergone regular routine maintenance throughout the season.
During this time Scillonian III will be carrying all freight to and from the islands, and Swift Lady will be providing the service to the off-islands. Please keep this in mind when placing orders as we will have some restrictions on freight.
Please note – Swift Lady can only carry small items and limited quantities and that bulk orders and large heavy items cannot be carried. No single item can be more than 20kg – although pallets are lifted aboard on St Mary’s, the vessel is unloaded on the off-islands by hand. Some dangerous goods cannot be carried on Swift Lady, all freight is carried at the discretion of the Skipper.
We would like to advise all customers to stock up on non-perishable items, including frozen food & hazardous items (DGs), as we will be prioritising time critical/perishable freight during this time.
Please could you make sure ALL freight is booked in with our freight office in Penzance at least 24 hours prior to delivery.
