Listening events rescheduled

The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group is reluctantly having to postpone its planned Listening Events on the Isles of Scilly, following weather warning of strong winds expecting to reach 70mph affecting the region due to ex-hurricane Ophelia.

The Company had planned to host open events on the off-islands of St Martin’s, Bryher and St Agnes as well as on St Mary’s on October 17th and 18th to enable islanders to meet the senior management team, air their views and hear more about the company’s plans for the future.

But the severe weather conditions forecast for next week are expected to restrict inter-island boating on Scilly, as well as having a potential impact on travel from the mainland to the islands. The company aims to reschedule these events for the earliest opportunity in November, with new dates to be announced soon.
