Visitors to the Isles of Scilly can enjoy a more flexible option for booking travel to the islands thanks to a new flexi ticket being launched this week.
Isles of Scilly Travel is offering passengers the opportunity to upgrade to a Flexi Ticket when booking their flights or ferry sailings to Scilly which will enable them to make unlimited changes to their bookings without any amendment fees.
Passengers using a Flexi Ticket can swap their booking to any alternative Skybus flight from Land’s End, Newquay or Exeter Airport or sailing on Scillonian III from Penzance on any day of the week, up to 48 hours before their pre-booked departure time, with no extra cost.
Booking amendments can be made online via the website or by calling the Travel Centre. Flexi Tickets are valid for all return travel for 365 days from the time of purchase.
Sharon Sandercock, Marketing and Communications Manager for Isles of Scilly Travel, said: “Flexi Tickets will offer our passengers more choice, and an opportunity to change their travel plans without any extra fees up to 48 hours before they are due to travel, making it even easier to plan a trip to the Isles of Scilly.

“We have listened to our visitors and the Isles of Scilly community and we’ve developed this flexi ticket as a result of their feedback. The new flexi ticket will enable passengers to book with confidence, knowing their trip can be reorganised for new dates if they are unable to visit as planned for any reason.”
The Flexi Ticket is a new option for booking travel to the Isles of Scilly and separate to the Covid Promise currently offered by Isles of Scilly Travel, which provides peace of mind in 2021 during the current pandemic by enabling passengers to make free amendments, transfers, or cancellations up to 48 hours before departure if they are unable to travel due to Government regulations for Covid-19 restrictions.
Flexi Tickets apply to any amendments or transfers, but usual cancellations fees will apply if a booking is cancelled. Flexi Tickets are not available for day trip bookings.
Flexi Tickets are available for an extra cost in addition to standard fares for Skybus flights or Scillonian III ferry travel.
